Is This For Me?

TENS therapy may be appropriate if you experience any of the following:

  • Chronic muscle or joint pain in the back, neck, or shoulders
  • Nerve pain with burning, tingling, or shooting sensations
  • Pain that briefly improves with movement or stretching
  • Ongoing pain after injury or overuse
  • Muscle tension or spasms affecting daily activities
  • Pain requiring repeated physical therapy or manual treatments
TENS is not a replacement for comprehensive medical evaluation, but it can be an effective adjunct for day-to-day symptom control when used correctly with clinician guidance.

Benefits

TENS therapy can support day-to-day symptom improvement for many forms of chronic pain. With consistent use and proper guidance, patients often experience:

  • Reduced muscle and nerve pain, including burning, aching, or tingling sensations
  • Improved mobility and activity tolerance, especially for back, neck, or joint discomfort
  • Reduced reliance on pain medications, including NSAIDs and other agents associated with cardiovascular and gastrointestinal risks when used long-term
  • Fewer pain flares that might otherwise require clinic visits or urgent care
  • Improved comfort during daily tasks, exercise, or recovery from overuse or injury
TENS is not a replacement for comprehensive medical evaluation, but it can be an effective adjunct for day-to-day symptom control when used correctly with clinician guidance.

Safety & Contraindications

Do Not Use

TENS is generally low risk, but it should not be used:

  • Over implanted electronic devices (such as pacemakers)
  • On areas of broken, irritated, or infected skin
  • On the front of the neck or directly over the spine without clinician guidance
  • During pregnancy unless cleared by a clinician
Patients with seizure disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, or implanted hardware should discuss appropriate use with a clinician.

When to Seek Medical Attention

Seek prompt evaluation if you experience:

  • Worsening or spreading pain despite use
  • New weakness, numbness, or impaired coordination
  • Fever, chills, or other systemic symptoms
  • Bowel or bladder changes
  • Pain following trauma or an unexplained acute onset
TENS helps support symptoms but does not replace a full diagnostic assessment.

Digital TENS Review
The digital TENS is worth more than the price. It works like magic and it is superb.

Compact, powerful and it worked for me!
Great little unit! My upper left foot became very numb due to crossing legs too often. This unit kickstarted the peroneal nerve into gear and now I am regaining good sensation after a couple of weeks. Sticky pads are great! Nice carry box and very compact.

Great for Sciatica
I have unbearable sciatica pain. This helps relieve it enough that I may even be able to fall asleep- and it has an auto-shut off so I dont have to worry about it being on all night.

Durable, Good Intensity, Easy to Use
I purchased my TENS 7000 in 2018 due to a slipped disc in my upper back. The pain from this was horrible, and I went for an MRI which the doctor suggested pain medication. Tried the meds which only dulled the pain and I wanted something more that was not meds. A family member suggested this product to me, and it has really been a lifesaver. Unfortunately, I now tore my ACL in 2025, and post-surgery, I needed to use this for pain relief. Again this device has helped with both pain and function. I cannot recommend this enough. Totally worth it!

Could not believe how well this worked!!
I pinched a nerve in my back a couple months ago. It wasn’t the first time but it certainly was the worst pain I’ve had in my back. I hobbled around in pain for 2 weeks until my daughter told me about this device. The day I got it, I used it immediately and could not believe that my pain subsided for 3–4 hours! What a relief! Over the course of a few days, I used the device 2–3 times a day until I no longer needed it. This thing is a must have for pain relief.

User friendly
It's nice to be able to treat aches, pains, injuries as they occur and I found this unit very user friendly. One surprise is how effective this treatment is when treating pain from gout (which can be very painful). Of course the main treatment is through diet, but when the occasional symptoms occur, it feels like the electronic stimulation can break up the uric acid crystals that cause the pain. I found this an excellent aid to healing and well being.

Great relief
I’m really impressed with this TENS 7000 unit. It’s stronger than I expected in a good way — you can actually feel your muscles working and tiring out, which helps them release and relax afterward. It gives me that deep “repair” feeling I’ve been looking for.
